| L ate daytime, it was quiet and a perfect thinking space. It was practically the one of the few places Dinis could actually go and not really worry about a challenge. The only people that went here were nobodies or ones who just looked for a place to mess around without being caught. He liked to think that he owned the place, but what's the point in owning a town when nobody lived in it? He didn't have to exactly fight for claim of the land anyway, he was part of the reason it was in this state anyway. Wasn't that enough to prove his point?
Dinis was far from his land, far away from anything that was really his. The town was familiar to him. Both before and now was a vision to think about as he looked around at the crumbles buildings and overgrown shrub. There were people here, many of which were no doubt dead or somewhere else by now. It was years ago since he had caused this place to become a baron graveyard of stone that it was today. Though he couldn't help but notice the nice lighting the sun had caused upon the overall down, long shadows drifting across the ground and orange glows along the rocks. This is why it was so peaceful, much warmer here too.
He walked down a path that led completely into the town, confidently walking with his hands in his jacket pockets. There was nothing Dinis found more interesting than wondering around places that wasn't his own. He destroyed this place, not because he wanted it, but because he can. And that feeling was great to him. The power he had with it.
He drifted his eyes from corner to corner, through grew tired of it and just walked straight ahead. Lifting his foot onto a wall that once formed a house, now just a small pile of stone. He climbed up to stand and look ahead, taking in what was around. There wasn't really much, he had seen better views. Either way, it was relaxing. He sighed, sitting down to lean back on some rock while still on the wall.

ALTRAVON | Dusk was beginning to fall across one of the few Bavarian towns that remained standing throughout the centuries. The shadows of the mountains made the sleepy, abandoned town darker than the rest of the surrounding landscape. It seemed peaceful and quiet, but it wouldn't remain this way for long. A few hours earlier, the prince of Unum stood with his head low in his father's chambers. He received quite the scolding from the king for being short with one of the knights. They were in the middle of a discussion and the knight barged into the room as if he was the king. Altravon spoke his thoughts, yet the prince was the one to be reprimanded. "Honestly, Altravon, if you weren't my own son, I'd think you were an ignari," Tralon had sighed, waving his hand to finally dismiss young Altravon. The prince quickly stalked his way to the courtyard and turned into his true form, a bright platinum and azure Guardian dragon. He returned to his human form once he landed at the edge of the town, quietly seething as he kicked nearby pebbles on his walk to the center of town. He was unaware of what lurked along the crumbling, weathered wall. |

| H is eyes shifted from in front of him to the side as his head glanced over his shoulder, not that his eyes could really lock on anything since a wall was all he could see. Dinis could hear something and out of instinct he reacted. What was that noise? Dinis himself had got here by flying, so that familiar deep, swooping sound along with a rumble of a landing was pretty distinctive to him. So what was it? or better yet, who? If his hearing wasn't playing tricks on him, maybe he should go investigate.
Jumping off the wall, Dinis marched around the corner and kept his eyes locked on where he last heard the sound. He wasn't afraid of anything else that could be around here, all his attention was on what he assumed could only be another dragon. Instantly that assumption brought anger to him, since another dragon was basically competition to Dinis. Striding across the stony ground and then some grassy areas, he continued to keep his gaze of where he was heading. Following along a wall, he slowed his pace. There was no sound apart from a few pebbles being kicked about.
Who could be here? were they looking for him? No. That's stupid. If they were looking fro him they'd send many more people after him and they certainly wouldn't be this carefree. Looking over his shoulder to check he wasn't being ambushed or something, he walked forward a few steps to see who it was. Nobody that he recognised, though they looked well dressed he had to point out. Definitely a dragon. Dragons commonly leaned towards the richer end of the scale.
Finally letting his curiosity get the better of him, Dinis walked out, hand in his leather jacket pockets as he walked out. Though he kept at a distance, he stopped and stood in front of the boy. Holding himself a little taller than his average posture, Dinis eyed the boy before a smile crawled across his face. Though it quickly faded once he began to speak.
"Who are you? 'Little far away from home aren't we?"

ALTRAVON | Too wrapped up in his pent-up anger towards his father, the young prince was completely unaware of the approaching enemy. His icy blue gaze glared down at the insects that dared to crawl close to his feet and he kicked another pebble at one. "If you weren't my own son, I'd think you were an ignari," he says, Altravon thought with annoyance, sighing and rolling his shoulders back to try to release some of the tension from his muscles. Tch, what the hell even is an ignari? He paused as a memory tried to resurface. Well, I've a feeling it was mentioned in one of my studies, now that I think of it. The word sounds familiar. He made an attempt to refocus the fuzzy memory, but his train of thought was derailed when a voice spoke to him. He snapped his head around and curled his lip at the stranger. "Everywhere is my home," he quipped back. "What's it to you?" |

| C learly the boy hadn't recognised Dinis, the way he was acting proved just that. He had asked him a question but all he got in return was a snarky reply, an arrogant one too. If anything, it should have been Dinis answering a question with that. He was confident enough that he could practically crush this boy if he wanted to, but he was sure that he was a dragon and any dragon to Dinis was either a potential challenge or ally.
"Really?" Though Dinis spoke as if he was surprised, he was, but he if anything this place is his. He was the reason this boy could walk these lands and call this place his 'home'. "Last I checked this was nobody's home." he nodded as he looked around him and shrugged before meeting his eyes again. Although this place wasn't Dinis' either, he liked to think it was. The whole world was his, just not yet. He laughed slightly, "Confident aren't you?".
Dinis took a step closer, as if to challenge him, showing to be a little more serious now. "What's it to me?" He echoed the kid's words. "If you're so proud of this home of yours, then you wouldn't mind telling your guest who. you. are." He demanded sternly. Dinis wasn't playing games this time, his patience was bad enough as it is but when someone spoke to him like that he could only hold back his anger for so long.

ALTRAVON | The young dragon was a bit taken aback by the stranger's words. He wasn't entirely whether he should be offended, pissed off, or compliment the size of the stranger's balls, for the lack of a better term. The expressions on his face showed each emotion, too. "Of course I'm confident. I'm the prince. I watch over all of Unum - which encompasses the entire planet, so yes, this is part of my home," he retorted snippily. "I am just here to... take a momentary break." His gaze looked the other man up and down for a moment before cocking a brow. "Do you live in a cave or something? And if you're my guest, why do I not know your name? A bit rude to make someone introduce themselves without offering to share your own name," he continued as he crossed his arms, not knowing the growing danger he was placing himself in by continuing to not take the situation seriously. |

| T he mention of the word prince was an eyebrow raiser. Out of everyone in this world Dinis could have crossed paths with, he came across the prince. To be honest, he didn't even know that the king and queen really had a son. He had heard of a child but never really knew whether it was a boy or girl, or it was even still alive. Apparently here he was, in the flesh. Swanning about like the world was already his when it clearly wasn't. So he was actually pretty far away from home, as was Dinis.
"Not the entire planet." He quickly answered. The planet didn't belong to any of the royal family, especially not this boy. Dinis did consider that he might have been lying but the boy's clear irritation to Dinis had been set off and caused him to claim that he's the prince rather quickly, he dressed like it too. Dinis didn't really dress like a king, he dressed smart but not anything like the royal family. He didn't need to show his worth to people by dressing up.
His eyes squinted for a moment once he trailed off a little about why he was here. The guy didn't exactly look very stressed but everyone hid something about them didn't they? Even if you were a royal, you still had to hide the bad side of you. So in a way, this was a good place to take a break for a bit, nobody was really around here anymore. Well, clearly not always.
"Someone's got to ask haven't they?" He shrugged in response. If anything, was this kid the one who had been living in a cave most of his life so far? Clearly his parents didn't let him get out much if he was wandering around an abandoned village. He took a deep breath and faced the ground as he walked forward a little, hands still in his jacket pockets. "Who said I wasn't going to share my name anyway?" he smiled and shook his head. He wanted to just see how far he could really push the kid, he seemed so proud of himself and so sure that nobody could look down upon him.
"I mean, half the world already knows it. So where have you been the last few years? Mom and Dad kept you locked up in that castle of theirs? Or have they let you out because they favour a different child? " Dinis couldn't help but remark that the guy didn't know who he was, while also winding him up. Clearly the dear old king and queen wanted to keep their beloved son out of harms way as best they could, despite him pretty much being an adult, even though he was a childish one. "So, Prince of Unum, delightful to cross paths with you." He walked forward and took his hands out of both pockets, reaching one out in front of him to shake his hand. "I'm Dinis." He nodded.

ALTRAVON | Favor a different child? The hell does he think he is? Altravon thought and opened his mouth to ask the man just that when the stranger revealed his name. Dinis? As in the Dinis? the prince thought incredulously, blinking at the other dragon in shock. “Perhaps they do baby me a bit,” he admitted aloud. He’d been told of all the bad things the monster had done before, but never had he been shown what face the monster wore. His brow furrowed as he thought, I should have been shown, though. Father always goes on about how I disappoint him, yet he never tells me anything I need to know. The biggest enemy towards Unum is a need-to-know... speaking of. Altravon curled his lip toward the proffered hand and took a step back. “Have you come to kidnap me and order my father to step down from the throne? It won’t work. Nothing is more important than Unum in my father's eyes.” |

| H is slight smile faltered at the younger's action after his mumble to himself. Did Dinis hit the nail on the head there? Perhaps things were a little more black and white than he expected when it came to the royal family.
Taking in a deep breath before bring his hand back to his pocket and straightening his back again, appearing as if he was relaxed about the situation. Which he was. Though the younger's status still interested Dinis, he didn't seem very happy about what was going on. Was it because Dinis was here or was it because what he remarked was true? He lightly chuckled at the questions and glanced at the ground for a moment, as if to actually process the bluntness of his questions.
"To be truthfully honest, I didn't even expect anyone else to be here, especially not someone like you." Dinis looked back at him. Apparently, from what Dinis could gather, the guy wanted the truth since his parents lacked to show much of that to him. So Dinis felt the need to shine a new light on him, which was honesty. "So no, I'm not here to kidnap you and demand your father's throne." He wanted to crush that throne along with its kingdom and build a new one on top of it. "It's not a bad idea though." Dinis noted with a sardonic grin. Of course he wouldn't do that, not now, he knew so little about this guy and his worth to the family so that plan was basically out of the window.
"What makes you say that? How far is your father willing to go to keep his crown then?" He asked, narrowing his eyes a little with a nod. "Sacrificing your own heir isn't a good start."

ALTRAVON | As the elder dragon spoke, Altravon watched and listened attentively, his head tilted to the left ever so slightly. His ice blue eyes were hard as he digested Dinis's words. I hadn't expected another to be here either, so that part very well may be the truth. But if he wasn't here for me, then why would he be here? Doesn't he have a mountain to perch on? he thought with mild annoyance. "It's not a bad idea though" Dinis had commented, making the prince stiffen and curl the fingers of his right hand into a fist. "All that would do is aggravate the both of us, so it'd just be a waste of both of our times. Besides, it wouldn't be too hard for him to produce a new one. It doesn't take very long for us to age. I'm only four in human terms," he scoffed, then thought for another moment. "Although, I'm sure there will be an egg soon, based on my 'poor results' in training," he grumbled softly, mostly to himself. Shit, why am I saying this aloud? In the company of Dinis, no less! he scolded himself as he furrowed his brows. |

| D inis didn't doubt one bone in his body that he would lose a fight to this kid. He was young, Dinis could see it in him that he hadn't been around long, his arrogance was another major factor he had to admit. So aggravating the young prince would be quite a fun thing to do, Dinis' existence was aggravating enough for the king and queen so why not their son.
He stayed quiet as he listened to the guy. His curiosity was increasing the more this guy spoke, how he would be looked down upon by the king and queen themselves, whether it was true or not Dinis felt like he could take advantage of that. For a moment, Dinis let the silence settle in after the kid's little mumbles, though he didn't let his gaze drift off of him once as he examined his body language. He looked a little annoyed, perhaps he shouldn't have spoken all this out loud or maybe he just got angered by his own words to the fact that they were true.
"What will happen to you then?" Dinis began, "I've seen it happen before, families like yours strive for perfection. If you're not careful, you'll be replaced. Then where will you go?" He watched for the man's reactions to his questions. Whether or not they looked like they were really getting to him, Dinis would know that something like that would sink in eventually. "There's only so many dragons in this world, and you're lucky to be one of them. That alone is not 'poor results' "
"Some of those dragons are actually with me, some just like you." He nodded. "Out of curiosity, what type of dragon are you...I never did catch your name."

ALTRAVON | "What will happen to me?" Altravon parroted softly with a raised brow. Be replaced... I've never thought of being replaced as an option. He gritted his teeth at the thought. Be replaced? He was the prince of Unum - of Earth! That was not going to happen! He raised his eyes to meet Dinis's chocolate gaze as the beast before him continued speaking. When Dinis mentioned the dragons, "There's only so many dragons in this world, and you're lucky to be one of them. That alone is not 'poor results' " he had said, Altravon raised his chin just barely. He sure got that right. Then Dinis said something odd. There were more dragons on the side of the enemy? That was news to Altravon. "What is my breed to you?" he snipped, crossing his arms. "It's not that hard to figure out. Marika is a Crystal and Tralon is a Guardian. It's 50/50. Not everyone ends up like you, with a little bit of both. That's fairly rare, for dragons." He paused for a moment, then decided to throw caution to the wind. "I'm a Guardian, like my sire. Platinum and blue, like my mother's sire." |

| T hough the prince asked him a question as he watched him fold his arms before he went on his snappy little rant, Dinis kept his mouth shut, he wasn't going to repeat himself. It was funny to Dinis that the prince noted his parents as Marika and Tralon, clearly they weren't that close then. To be honest, Dinis didn't know how his patience was still present at this point, the prince was certainly an arrogant one.
Dinis shrugged with a smile of acknowledgment, taking in the fact that he was half and half, which wasn't common at all. At first he wished to be one or the other but over time he'd adjusted and look where he was now. So, he was Guardian dragon, as far as dragons go when it comes to power Guardians were pretty powerful beings. Dinis honestly had higher expectations from the prince, his personality could be worked on but the fact he was a Guardian was another story.
"Well then, be thankful that you're not a mix of both." He commented as a result of the prince's rant. If the boy was a mix of both, maybe Tralon and Marika would have really not wanted him, seeing as they'd probably see him as not so 'pure' as them or even saw him like Dinis."Since you refuse to tell me your name I'll just call you Prince." The name made him chuckle. If he didn't want to give his name like Dinis did then so be it. "So, Prince, you know some things about me?" He raised an eyebrow, "How much do you know?"

ALTRAVON | Another brow raise was the boy's answer to Dinis's comment of being both. As if he's self-conscious about being a mix breed. I'm sure he enjoys using his "super secret" demon wyvern powers on top of his dragon's, he thought, then looked away in annoyance as Dinis continued and called him "Prince." For some reason, his royal title coming from the world's largest enemy was almost blasphemous. It seemed like Dinis was using it to get a rouse from Altravon. But, "A name is a powerful thing. Why should I go around handing it out to my family's nemesis? That is something I definitely know. You want to enslave humankind, as well as the creatures from Ancora. If they do not side with you, you kill them. If you're bored, you slaughter hundreds of innocents. I do not need to know your entire life's story to know that what Unum stands for is not something I will allow you to crush," the young dragon answered plainly, his brows slowly furrowing with determination as he continued to speak. Yes, he does not know the entirety of Dinis's unspeakable deeds. Yes, his father does not share things that the heir to the throne should know. That doesn't mean Altravon will do everything in his power to keep Dinis from succeeding. |
