Tsiaa was not usually in the business of picking over ruins for loot, preferring to hunt for her treasures in more...civilised settings, but today she had decided to try something new. The gryphon perched, talons and paws grasping the edges of a crumbling wall, keen golden eyes scanning the wrecked town. Dinis had really done a number on this place, hadn't he? Ah, but hadn't the humans of this world also contributed to their own ruin? A war, or something? Tsiaa lifted a talon, scratching behind an ear as she tried to recall her history lessons. There always seemed to be a war, in any nation's history, so it was probably that. The dragon's, or the human's. The former was just technically still in progress. It seemed like a grand old waste of time, resources, and life to her, but alas. If her opinion counted for anything, well, there wouldn't be a war. Ah well, thinking about stuff that big wasn't going to get this job done any faster, so might as well get on with it!
In a sudden flurry of motion, the gryphon launched herself, wings snapping out in powerful beats to send her skimming over the wreckage of the town. She had been tasked with retrieving a family heirloom from this place, one of those things passed down from generation to generation, and since it gave her something to do, and a reason to explore, Tsiaa had agreed.
Besides, she needed to leave Anfang proper for a bit. Folk were getting a tad suspicious of her, and she wanted to get away for a bit, let the heat die down.
Stretching her wings out, Tsiaa craned her head down, scanning the ground. Rubble, rubble, oh look! More rubble. No sign of any glittering, shimmering treasures. Sighing, the gryphon circled. The client had said it would be around here, near the old, twisted tree! Had someone already picked these bones clean? Would she have to return from a hunt empty-clawed? The very idea rankled, and Tsiaa landed once more, padding through the remains as she furled her wings against her back. She just had to look closely, turn over every stone, and she was sure to find her target. It made an odd sight, the gryphon heaving bricks and debris aside, poking her beak into corners and crevices, but she was oblivious to how it might appear, confident she could chase off any danger - or outfly it, if need be.
