Morning Report(closed for Al)

It was maybe just after noon. The dragoness walked as her human self. The trek didn't much bother her as she had always grown accustomed to the trek thanks to her mother and of course her father. She sighed as she walked into the castle. It was time for the report for the morning the trek had took a little bit seeing as she chose to do so as a human. Long dark hair danced about as she moved with a deadly grace. Upon entering the castle her Brown gaze looked for a higher up to report to but she could see anyone anywhere. She sighed and said"oh where is someone when you need them. I swear nobody is around when it's time to report in" She muttered as she walked she passed a large expanse of a room and stopped just as she heard voices. She hopes it was someone she could report to. She has always reported to the king and of course the queen every now and then. She just hopes it was them. As she turned around and came into the room she stopped her dark chocolate eyes catching sight of the Prince instead of the king or queen. It would have to work, she thought. Walking over quietly and with a bit of respect in her voice she said"sorry to disturb but I have come to deliver the morning report"she replied.

The morning sun was casting its warm rays through the large, decorative windows of the great hall. Altravon was warming his platinum scales in the light as he spoke with a unicorn. The unicorn had a crimson cape on with her golden armor, showing her status as a commander of the guards within the castle. They had been speaking quietly, for no reason other than the castle seemed to still be sleeping, about further fortifications of the castle as well as the capital. "Sorry to disturb," came a feminine voice, "but I have come to deliver the morning report." Altravon glanced over at the source and saw that it was one of the scouts. Knowing that these reports were highly important in knowing what was out in the woods, Altravon quickly dismissed the commander with a nod and turned his body towards Embry, carefully laying his large claws in order not to get too close. "Greetings, Embry," he answered. "Allow me a moment to change. I dislike looking down at and overcrowding others." With that, Altravon's horns and tail tip lit with magic, a pink, sparkling mist surrounding his large frame. Once it dissipated, a blond man in a pale blue button-down shirt and khaki slacks. He rolled his sleeves up to the elbows then gave Embry a light smile that didn't really reach his ice blue eyes. "Please, continue," he said. scroll

The Brown haired dragoness stopped near the door entrance. She felt bad for interupting but she had no choice seeing as the report was nothing important but each report was no matter if she found nothing or if there was something. She watched as the Prince turned his attention to her and part of her wanted to appoligize and exit the room to search for the king or queen but the other part made her stand tall and confidently. As he asked her to give him a moment She have a brisk nod letting him. She pushed her dark Brown hair from her face her chocolate Brown eyes looking to him. When he told her She can continue she nodded"As per my duty I have scouted the woods and this far everything seems fine for the moment but I am to be going out again later this afternoon to see if there are any changes" she spoke looking to him."I am terribly sorry to interfer with whatever meeting was just going on but I had to report to a higher up and you were the only one I could find"she said.

Altravon listened intently as the drakaina described her morning's scout. She had said that it was uneventful, which got the prince thinking. Yet another uncharacteristically quiet scout. Not even a goblin has been spotted in days... What is that hybrid planning now? he bemused. "I am terribly sorry to interfere with whatever meeting was just going on but I had to report to a higher up and you were the only one I could find," Embry spoke. Altravon shook his head with appeasement and placed a hand upon the fellow dragon's shoulder for a brief moment. "Miss Draconis, do not worry yourself. It was an unofficial meeting and we were merely discussing of possible fortifications for our citizens down in Anfang. We were finished by the time you approached me. I understand that my parents were unavailable, so I was the next for you to look for," he explained, tucking his hands into his pants' pockets. "Your information is always vital to how Unum prepares for another wave of Dinis's vile beasts." scroll

Embry blinked as the Prince dragon replied to her apology saying it was fine and that the meeting wasn't official and they had already finished when she has entered. Slolwy she gave a nod."Oh alright then"she said pushing her dark hair back she wore a pair of jeans and a dark red tank top. She pushed her hands in to her pockets for the moment."I understand that but hi wasn't aware of your meeting regardless of officiality or non officiality. But I am glad it was no bother to you."she said."as far as it goes I'm probably gonna walk for a bit til I have to go back out scouring this afternoon"she said. The dragoness paused for a moment quietly pulling her hands from her pocket a Crystal pendant of a galaxy opal gung at her neck. She was quiet for a moment her Brown eyes looking to him just briefly wondering what was to be said next. She didn't have anything else to report next not at til that afternoon.

The dawn's light refracting within the opal drew Altravon's gaze. He watched in silence for a brief moment before suddenly asking, "Shall I help you put that on?" He lifted his hands to retrieve the necklace, gesturing with a finger for her to spin around. "May I walk with you?" he said, continuing on with the original topic, "Father says I need to get out more, to socialize. I have studied the past of this castle and the towns around the City of Anfang, so I can answer any question that might come up in that curious mind of yours." Chuckling, Altravon looked up at the windows. "The castle was designed to look medieval, but it was really built only a few centuries ago. We had to fortify it with steel, diamonds, and even electric currents because the castle was never meant as a defensive base for Bavaria, the country it was in at the time it was first built."

Embry to say the least wasn't expecting him to offer to put her necklace on her. She gripped the necklace for a moment hesitant if only for a moment before she handed it over to him with a small smile. As he gestured for her to turn around the dark haired beauty turned quietly and lifted her hair up a little bit so he could help her put her necklace on."I don't mind you joining me Prince"She said keeping her calm but inside her heart pounded nervously for a moment. 94 She waited breifly as he put the necklace on her giving a small smile as he mentioned her curious side"Well that sure is interesting I didn't actually know that"She admitted honestly.

The blond prince furrowed his brows for a brief moment of concentration, moving the small clasp of her necklace between the pads of his thumb and forefinger. He slipped the loop into the clasp and allowed it to fall shut with ease. Taking a small step back and giving her another soft pat on her shoulder, he continued speaking with a gentle smile.     "The Neuschwanstein Castle likes to have its mysteries. Photography wasn't allowed until the Ultimate World War began, yet it would have up to 1.3 million tourists a day. I doubt there are even 1.3 humans in all of Unum." Here, he paused and gazed absently out the window, a solemn look on his face. After a moment, though, he blinked and gave a small chuckle. "My apologies. That got a bit depressing. I'll move on to something else.     "Now, the room we are standing in was once the throne room. King Ludwig II died before he could see it finished, so a throne was never placed inside here. To honor that, the king and queen built on their own throne room on the other side of the castle. We also moved the mosaic of Jesus and his followers to the Anfang museum, seeing as we do not have any of our own religions." He gestured with a hand to the current mosaic painting the walls. "We put up our own mosaic, swans. Neuschwenstein means New Swan Stone, so that is what my mother went with when she had this commissioned."     Finally catching his breath, he looked down at the drakaina and raised his brows. "Oh, goodness. I'm sorry, I rambled on there, didn't I? I tend to talk people's ears off!" he laughed sheepishly, and lifted a hand to rub at the back of his neck nervously.

Once she felt the necklace fall into place she gave a small kind smile rare but she let it show at least for now. The dragoness adjusted the pendant with a smile before she said"thank you" and that was the only thing she could get out before he spoke about the castle again. Embry didn't have a problem with it either. The dark haired female listened with rapt interest. She took in what she was told not minding learning something new. "No your fine it was quite interesting to learn something I didn't know before."She said with a smile"would you like to take that walk now?"She asked."besides I was always told that was a great trait to have means you are great with talking to others" she said

Clasping his hands behind his back, he tilted at the shoulders toward the northern doors. "Were you thinking of walking the courtyard? I'll lead the way. I heard the first snowfall of the season would be this afternoon." It was then that he began to walk backward, keeping his cerulean gaze upon the woman in front of him. As he did so, a wry smile formed on Altravon's face.     "Good at speaking with others? My father would disagree with that. I'm not always a fan of 'others,' seeing how it usually means politicians. It's a bit hard when everyone is quarreling over one thing or another. My favorite bit is when the generals try to tell us how to rule the kingdom. Father was, nonetheless, displeased when I ask them if they'd like to be king for a day and get through even half the duties we have." He chuckled and shook his head. "You must have the patience of a saint to deal with me on a good work day. Lucky for you, you caught me on my supposed day off."

She hadn't really thought exactly where they were going to walk but the courtyard sounded good enough."Yeah the courtyard will be fine"She said her brown eyes catching the light just right making her eyes sparkle."really I figured it would be this afternoon given the small chill outside but thanks for confirming my though"She said moving towards the door taking notice he moved backwards and followed her from behind for a moment. She looked back at him from where she stopped at the doors."Well taking to others doesn't necessarily mean political talk I meant in a friendly way"She said."and I wouldn't say I'm much of a saint"She said a little humble for a brief moment before she gave her smile again"so did you want to lead still or should I?"

Altravon watched Embry with polite interest - not overly intentive yet not dismissive - as she spoke. He stopped in his tracks as he mused over her words. In a friendly way, she had stated. As in discussing amongst friends? I don't think... He frowned at his shoes once she passed him, cutting his thought off quickly. Of course, dark thoughts will be dark thoughts, and it rose back up again like a slimy work - you might cut it off, but the end will grow back a new head.     "I don't believe I've had much of those, as of late," he said earnestly, quietly, then turned as she continued speaking, hoping that she did not hear his lonesome confession.     "So did you want to lead still or should I?"     He gave her his own bright smile as he answered, "If the lady wishes, then the lady shall," feeling a bit of his cheerfulness return.

She didn't miss a beat when she heard what he said."you..don't?"She trailed off before she gave a smirk and said"nonsense you got me I'll be your friend"She said flashig him a toothy smile before she pushed open the doors with ease"Alright then"She said smiling at his last statement."I guess I'll lead then."She said and lead the way outside her dark hair bouncing as she moved.

A brow was raised at her nonchalant comment. "You will be my friend?" he parroted, following close behind her. "I will gladly accept you as my friend, but like I said, you need the patience of a saint. I might not be the greatest at the whole friendship thing," he warned, keeping his ice blue eyes on her as they walked through the sunlit corridors. "Father sometimes says I have the personality of an ignari, whatever that is." He scoffed at the memory of him dismissing one of the knights like an irritating fly, then having his father's own irritated look pointed at him. He played off his father's quip, but he has yet to figure out what creature Tralon spoke of.     "What I'm saying is," he continued on with a brief sigh, "I might not have friends for a reason. If you figure that reason out, I have no hold over you. You can sever any personal ties with me if that is what you feel is the best thing to do."
